In conjunction with the Ken Quon “Ride On” - WORCA Ride and Barbeque, RE/MAX Sea to Sky Real Estate Presents the RE/MAX Corridor Cup Challenge The event consists of a "Family Ride ", a "Loonie Style" ride (Loonie Race) and a competitive event in the form of a Team Challenge. The rides and races finish up at the Riverside RV Resort and Campground where everyone can cool off and enjoy a barbeque, refreshments, entertainment and some fun and games. Race winners will be awarded, raffle draws and a silent auction will fill the afternoon. 1. The traditional family tour, starting at the Riverside Campground, will meander on the wide Lost Lake trails to "Proposal Corner", walk up to Ken's memorial, place a flower and ride back. This is a family friendly cycle route, as there will be no "Riders" or "Racers" on these trails. ( cost for tour participants - $10 - adults, $5 - children * ) The Family Ride will feature a special draw prize for all participating children under 12 yrs. old consisting of 2 bikes - one for a boy and one for a girl. - Sponsored by Whistler Dental - Dr. James McKenzie. 2. The Ken Quon "Ride On" ride is the traditional WORCA 'Loonie' type ride on a combination of crush, plush, and single track trials. Riders complete 1 circuit of the route placing a flower at the memorial during the ride. All 'Tourers' and 'Riders' must be WORCA members because of insurance requirements. ( cost - $15 - adults, $10 - juniors * ) 3. The "RE/MAX Corridor Cup Challenge" will be a Two Member Team event to crown the “best mountain bike team” of the Sea to Sky Corridor.The 'Team Race' will complete 3 laps of the Ken Quon Course in Lost Lake Park. This event is intended to be a fun team challenge, and with it we hope to test some fun 'rivalry' that we're sure exists in the the Sea to Sky Corridor. ( cost - $20 per team member * ) *All Participants must be WORCA, Team Whistler Cycling Members or BC Cycling licensed racers. WORCA membership will be made available on the day of the race or online in advance at www.worca.com.
